The bank officer tells him that the bank will need some form of security for the loan, so the Chinese man hands over the keys to a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produces the title and everything checks out.

The loan officer agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan.

The bank’s president and its officer all enjoy a good laugh at the Chinese man for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan. An employee of the bank the drives the Ferrari in to the bank’s underground garage and parks it there.

Two weeks later, the Chinese man returns, repays the $5,000 and the interest, which comes to $15.41. The loan officer says, “Sir, we are very happy to have had your business and this had worked our very nicely, but we are puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi-millionaire. What puzzled us is, why would you bother to borrow $5,000?”

The Chinese man replies: “Where else in New York City can I park my car for two weeks for only $15.41 and expect it to be there when I return?”.

Today, while I was flipping through the The Sunday Star, I came across an article. Want to know what is it? But first, you must read the whole story from the beginning to the end. If not you will not be able to understand it. So this is my summary of the story:

Once upon a time, there was a rich king who had four wives. Among all his wives, he loves the fourth the most. He adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest delicacies and also gave her the best of everything.

Besides, he loves his third wife too. He was always showing her off to neighbouring kingdoms. However, he is afraid that one day, she would leave him for another. 

Not to forget, the king also loves his second wife very much. She was his confidante and was considerate, patient and kind to him. She is the one where the king can confide in her whenever he has problems and would help him to get through all the difficult times.

Unlike all his wives mention above, he did not love his first wife. She was a very loyal partner and had made many contributions in maintaining the king’s kingdom and wealth. Although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her.

So one day, the king was ill and had not much time left. He thought of his luxurious life and wondered, when he died, he will be all alone without any wives with him.

Thus, he asked his fourth wife,”I have loved you the most, showered you with great care and endowed you with finest clothing. Will you keep me company when I die?”. ”No way!” replied the fourth wife and the answer cut like a sharp knife right into the king’s heart.

Then, he asked his third wife. “Now that I am dying, will you follow me since I have loved you all my life?”. “No!” the third wife answered. “Life is too good and when you die, I am going to remarry!”. Her answer made his heart turned cold and sank.

Move on to his second wife, he ask, “you have always be there for me whenever I turned to you for help, so when I die, will you follow me and keep me company?”. The answer was, “I am sorry, I can’t help you out this time, I can only walk with you to your grave”. The king was devastated as the answer he got struck him like a bolt of lighting.

Then he heard a voice called out saying I will follow you no matter where you go. It was his first wife. The king regretted for not taking much care of her when he had a chance back then.

We all have four wives in our live:

Firstly, the fourth wife mention above is our body. No matter how much time and efforts we lavish on it to make it look good, one day it will leave us when we die.

Secondly, the third wife is our wealth, status and possessions. When we all die, it will automatically go to others.

The second wife is our family and friends. The furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave, no matter how many times they have been there for us.

Last but not least, the first wife which is our soul. It is often neglected in pursuit of power, wealth and pleasures of the world. Therefore, remember to cherish it now and do not forget about the others also as they are vital too.

For me..I am glad and lucky to have friends who cares for each other..Its hard to find friends who kindly offers you a place to wait for your transport, friends who will explain to you when you are not sure of  something, friend who offers transportation when there are outings, friend who share concert ticket, friend who offer the house for barbeque activity, friends who cheer the whole class up (well..erm..for this, it depends on the time whether it is suitable/not) and many more..

These friend are all difficult to find..In this world, there are not many frineds like them left anymore..So, appreciate your friends for as long as you live..

I was so lucky to be able to attend the Backstreet Boys(BSB) concert..It was a last minute..And the best of all, the ticket was a VIP ticket..Can you believe that? From the VIP area, all I can see when I look back was the whole area was covered with thousands of BSB fans..Try to imagine that..Anyway..The perfomance was entertaining and enjoyable..From single performance to group performance, rock to ballad, and from old to new songs..Two thums up..

When the concert had end, everyone started to head to the exit area using the escalators..Thousands of people are using the escalators together..At first, everything went well..Suddenly, the second escalator starts to reverse, so did all the people on it..To add salt to the wound, the first escalator carrying people are coming up..Everyone got panic..One escalator was moving downward and the other is moving upwards..What is happenig here?? People who are between the two escalators are totally sandwich..Then when the right escalators are back to normal, the left escalator came out with the same problem..Owh no..Panic starts to attack everyone again..At that moment..The only thing that came to all of our mind was – Why cant the employees stop all the escalators and just let us walk up.. It is much safer… 

 Well..Anyway..At least no one is seriously injured..
